hTC Quietly Brilliant with hTC Sense new features…

Day by day i m falling into love with my Android based hTC Desire HD phone. This is the first post i am going to post from my phone itself. Its Android, imagine what you want to do through your phone and you will be able to do it…. don’t take it otherwise. I mean updating blogs, live TV, social networking, awesome games, smooth mail clients, integrated phone book, calendars….and a lot more, list never ends. Its incredibly awesome. Android Google market gives a lot of freedom to its users to use their phones as their notebooks.

Here is list of few apps which i like most:

1. Word Press : Word Press Official App
2. App2SD : Detects automatically for the apps which can be moved to SD card to save your phone memory.Must App.
3. Whats App : Blackberry, Android and Nokia OVI supported messenger which detects users from your phonebook who are using this app and you can send messages, images, videos instantly without any charges except Internet usage. This automatically compress the images to provide instant sharing. A really awesome app.
4. Unified Remote : Control your PC from your phone (Power Management, Music Player Controls, File manager,Task Manager and lot more). You can simple start songs on your PC and roam around your home and change the song at any time using your phone, shut down the PC, No need to go to your PC. An amazing App..
5. Quick Setting : Very nice and necessary app to change Ringer, Brightness, Bluetooth, WIFI, Volume Control. Just One Touch app to change these all settings in one go.
6. Zomato : Search any restaurants, Clubs, Ice Cream and Pizza Parlors as per your choice of food around you itself.
7. BookMyShow : Official App from Book My Show
8. Photaf : You can create panorama easily even if your phone camera doesn’t support.
9. Cam Scanner : Awesome App to scan your documents using your phone camera itself.
10. Expense Manager : Daily Expense Tracking System App
11. IP Webcam : Live Stream of Phone camera to your PC
12. Shush : Automatically detects when user changes sound profile to vibrate or Silent. Silent your phone for meetings, and this app will automatically pops up in very nice way to ask u the time limit and restore the sound profile again after the time limit ends.

1. X-construct:Construct efficient bridges for a train to pass..this ones addictive (reminds me of mechanics trusses and frames)
2. Air Control : Air Traffic Controlling game for different types of planes and helicopters, an addictive game.
3. Stupid Zombies : A game for Killing zombies with limited number of bullets in your gun with tricky reflection mechanism of bullet from walls. Mind Game.
4. Fruit Slice :  aha ! This is really an amazing and addictive game to slice the fruits which are coming up into the screen randomly, you are not allowed to miss more than three fruits otherwise Game is Over, also you need to think before slicing fruits using knife as there might be a bomb on the screen. An Awesome Game. Try it you will fall into love with this game.
5. Speedx 3D FREE (Free) : Nice Game. Control yourself into the speed on a 3D road, Don’t miss road and Don’t get hit by any hurdles.
6. Racing Moto : Wonderful game of Cruiser Bike Racing.

I am talking about  Zomato.com !!

Its an Indian website, which gives you a list of all the restaurants, ice cream parlors, pubs, coffee shops etc near you. I just got to know about this website and i tried it. This is really an awesome work done by some Indian techies. You can search all the restaurants near you with accurate Customer Satisfaction Rating, Meal for two pricing, updated contact information, Maps for direction, Photos to check ambiance and lots of other features.

I installed its app on my Android phone and now i can any time search for any type of restaurants anywhere. It also categories restaurants by food specialties. Just give it a try, and you will fall in love with this app.

Although i love a lot of features of Zomato, few of them are:

• Nice User Interface for Android Phones
• Fully Updated Restaurant List with some clicks
• Real reviews with correct pricing
• Connected with Maps to reach to the discovered restaurant.

Hats off to Zomato guys. Keep it up.

Everytime i go to any trip i always carry a camera with me, I click a lot of photographs. Most of time after coming back from the trip when i starts transfering my images to my computer,always my first one hour goes in deleting some old pics, movies or some other stuff from computer so that i can have some more space to put my new stuff. If i need to share my pics on web then also making images smaller one by one is too hectic job. I always used to think of a tool which can resize my all images in single shot so that i could save some space because these high end Digi cameras clicks so big photographs (14MP), which occupies around 3-4 MB of space on the hard disk per pic. Resizing of these pics is always a good solution to save some space but how………..?? We have thousands of pictures and resizing pics one by one is not a good idea. So here u go……………. ImageMagick Mogrify program is the solution for all these problems.

Mogrify is Linux command line program, which can resize the images in batch. Not only resizing Mogrify can do image scaling, image rotation, color reduction, and many other things.

Mogrify tool will be installed with ImageMagick Libraries on your Linux.
sudo apt-get install imagemagick

After ImageMagick installation, ‘mogrify’ can be used through command line.
For example, if I have a folder called “Pictures” locate in my “/home/” directory. I just need to go to that directory using command line and following command will resize my all *.jpg images in given resoltuion -
mogrify -resize 1024 *.jpg

Now I can see on “/home/Pictures/” my all image files are resized to 1024 of width. If you want force resizing to a particulare size without mantaining original aspect ratio you could change mogrify options:
mogrify -resize 1024×768! *.jpg
